Achieve a Fabulous Twist Out Every Time, No Failed Twists Here- AQ Online

There is an art to twisting natural hair and when it's down right our hair can look moisturised, smooth, silky and juicy. Apart from when this doesn't happen, the results of a failed twist can affect our twist outs and twist inspired protective styles, we don't need that.

What a smooth twist looks like:

This Twist looks smooth, moisturised, neat and detangles.

What a frizzy twist looks like:

The sister twist is significantly more frizzy, appears tangled and would result in a very frizzy twist out

Both twists are from the same wash day with the same products. The only difference is how they were twisted.

  2. Rizor Curls Hydrating Shampoo
  3. Eden BodyWorks Almond Marshmallow Split End Repair Masque 16 oz

Step 1

The key to a smooth twist is to start with nice and detangled hair. You don't need to over manipulate here especially if you suffer from breakage, you can use your favourite hair tool.

Since my hair is already throughly detangled from my last wash day a few days ago, I am simply going to gently separate my section and detangle lightly.I am also going to focus on my roots as that is where my hair is prone to frizz.

Step 2

Take that section and divide it into two cleaner sections. Don't worry if they're not even.

Step 3

Next, go clock-wise or anti-clock wise, gripping both sections and start twisting. After each twist, smooth out your hair with your fingers or brush. Twist with some tort but ensure you are not pulling on your scalp

The key here is to never mix the hair. Even if one side runs out quickly. Keep twisting, smoothing and gently detangling until you get the the end, where we need to twirl the ends.

Step 4

If you run out of hair, simply start gently twirling the reminder of the twist around your finger. You may have to do this twice depending on your texture and add your favourite cream to help with frizz if your hair is on the dry side.

Finally, you should have yourself a nice clean and juicy twist, don't be disappointed if it isn't perfect the first time round as this will take practice, especially the twirling.I have only recently perfected mine.

The major key here is to ensure your hair is moisturised and detangled and then to never mix your sections, this also makes take down so easy.
