Finding a defining cream for your type 4 hair can be a tricky test. Because it is difficult to strike the correct balance between moisture, definition and flaking. Sometimes you can't get a cream to serve you great definition, softness and zero flakes.

Eden Bodyworks is new on our site. So we have only tried a few of their products. But we are in love! The formulations and ingredients are 10 out of 10. The same goes for this defining creme. It is super THICK and a little goes a long way. I have never used a cream that provides me with this much definition and moisture that lasts for several days. I only had a little flaking at the front of my hair and I think that was because I hadn't rinsed out my deep conditioner properly.

Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter Hydrating Crème Deluxe 240ml
Camille Rose is just one of those brands that work. Yes, it costs more but I can't complain because the results speak for themselves. I mean just look at their ingredient list. This styler is excellent for getting definition. I have used it for a twist out and I had great definition and moisture that lasted for at least 5 days. Although, I lost definition sooner than most defining creams. It could be perfect to use under a gel. Now you will need to do a flake test to make sure this is compatible with your gel.

Camille Rose Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel 240ml
It only makes sense that Camille Rose has a second feature. This particular gel has the perfect balance of buttercream and gel defining status. Once again it is brilliant for twist outs and could be used in conjunction with a gel for maximum hold but a soft feel to the hair.

Not only does this smell amazing! It can also produce the most defined twist outs with a good old. it can also be used for wash ad go and you shouldn't see flaking. It makes your hair feel non-sticky and not weighed down.

The formal is versatile enough for you to use for wash and go's, twist outs and braid outs. You can combine this with the tgin leave in for a super combo! Be careful what you layer it with because it could flake.

The As I Am Luxe Curl Enhancing Smoothie is on the lighter side. It provides a non-sticky and non-crunchy hold which is excellent if you have a looser texture and don't like product build-up or weighed down strands. However, it can still elongate type 4 hair, whist providing definition and hair feels soft.
