AQ's Monthly Favourites For Curly & Kinky Hair Care

The month of November is over and I have picked my monthly favourites. They're so many products available out there that it can be rather overwhelming. That is why we are going to start experimenting with different products and creating monthly favourite blogs.

The purpose of this blog is to help people looking for great quality products to add to their routines.

The month of November is over and I have picked my monthly favourites. They're so many products available out there that it can be rather overwhelming. That is why we are going to start experimenting with different products and creating monthly favourite blogs.

tgin Mircacle Repairx Deep Hydrating Hair Masque

This deep conditioner smells like an absolute dream! It smells like candy and sweetness but isn't overpowering. The scent is just right. The consistency is on the runny side but holds its weight. I found this to be perfect for my 4B hair because it absorbed so well.

KEY INGREDIENTS

The key ingredients are Raw Black Honey, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Juice and Coconut oil. It does include a silicon further down in the ingredient list so it is not curly girl friendly.

I sat under the hooded dryer for 25 minutes. Now, when tgin says this is deeply penetrating, they didn't lie. After the dryer, I could finger detangle my hair no problem. Although, I would say that 15 minutes under the dryer is long enough if you don't want moisture overload. So that is why I went in afterwords with a protein leave-in conditioner to add a little bit of balance.

Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave In Conditioner

This leave-in is truly an OG for many naturals. It seems to have been around since the beginning and it is a staple! The hype is so real. Having 4B hair, I thought this wouldn't do much because it is a cult favourite for wavy and curly girls. But I was wrong.

The smell is really light and refreshing, there is a sense of herbal-ness to it. But it is perfect for those who don't like overpowering scents. It has a very unique consistency. It appears thick in the bottle but once in your palms it is lightweight and has a silky feel to it.

KEY INGREDIENTS

This is packed with so many goodies. The ingredient list is short and sweet. Starting with Organic Mango extract and organic slippery elm! Marshmallow root and organic lemongrass. Because of the ingredients, it is an understatement to say that this leave-in has a world of slip! it is lightweight, moisturising and perfect for detangling hair.

Eden Bodyworks Hydration Custard

Eden bodyworks are unknown by many naturals in the UK. I'm not sure why because all the products I have tried from them work amazingly well. But my holy grail from the brand this month is their hydration custard!

The smell is quite average for this. But it does have hints of the hibiscus and some honey. The consistency is super thick and isn't going anywhere when you hold it upside down. It is recommended for thicker and tighter hair types such as 4A, B and C.

THE KEY INGREDIENTS

Hibiscus Flower Extract, Honey, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Rice Extract and Aloe Vera.

Eden Bodyworks didn't put the word hydration in the title because they felt like it. They meant it! This custard delivers that hydration boost. It defines the curls and softens your hair. I love it for my braid outs and twist outs.
