This list includes deep conditioners that have both moisture and protein. Meaning that they can repair damaged hair strands but also provide you with the moisture that you need for maintaining healthy hair.
If you are a regular reader of our blog then you’ll know that we love deep conditioning over here at AQ Online.
I love trying and experimenting with new deep conditioners. It is one of my life's joys to find a new deep conditioner that loves my hair.

I must say that Soultanicals makes some of the best deep conditioners. This Ayurvedic Fenugreek Mask became one of my favourite deep conditioners.
The key protein ingredient: is hydrozilled quinoa protein which is one of the last 3 ingredients so it is a very light protein treatment.
Scent & Application: It has a wonderful light fragrance of Fenugreek and herby notes to it. I applied it to my damp type 4 hair leaving it on for 40 minutes. it immediately absorbed well and provided me with the perfect balance of moisture and protein.
My tangles had melted away and detangling was a treat. My curls were defined and soft without feeling hard at all.

I especially love this deep conditioner because it works and quickly. I always reach out for it when I want a quicker wash day because you only need to leave it in for 5-20 minutes.
The key protein ingredient: Hydrozilled Wheat Protein which is at the bottom of the ingredients list.
Scent & Application:It has a light and pleasant scent of lavender and vanilla. On appearance, it looks like a heavy looking butter but applies lightly to the hair. A little goes a long way with this one.
It leaves my hair feeling soft and silky. When I apply it to my hair, it feels like luxury.

The MICHE Beauty Protein Deep Conditioner is one of my holy grails. For me, it has more slip than the Indulge deep conditioner which is shocking because that is a moisture based deep conditioner.
The key protein ingredients: Hydrolyzed Baobab Protein and Hydrolyzed Silk Protein.
Scent & Application
It truly provides my hair with the boost of protein I need whilst providing great moisture and even some slip. It smells divine and it is always in my arsenal.

Why are Hydratherma Naturals so underrated? This is the question I always ask myself. They’re a brand that has been around since the beginning and make some amazing formulations.
Key protein ingredients: Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein , Hydrolyzed Corn Protein.
Scent & Application: I love this conditioner because it has so much slip! The smell of the product really took me back to being a kid. It has a lovely milky sweet scent to it.
My hair has no issues with silicones and it loves this deep conditioner. It is an amazing conditioner to use. Excellent moisture and protein balance.

This is a very lightweight protein treatment. Camille Rose classifies this deep conditioner as moisturising and it is with the key ingredient being Shea Butter and Castor Oil.
Key protein ingredient: Wheat Protein and it is less than 1% of the formulation as it appears after fragrance on the ingredients list.
Scent & Application: The conditioner is very smooth and silky, coating the hair very well. I will note that it doesn’t have a world of slip but does the job for creating a nice moisture and slight protein balance.
